Star of Integrity Award Hall Of Fame

The C-COR Star of Integrity Award honors a member of the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) for accomplishments in advancing next-generation on demand networks. The Steuben crystal award is presented to the winner by C-COR at SCTE's annual Conference on Emerging Technologies in January. In addition to the award, a contribution is also made in the name of the award recipient to SCTE's Scholarship Fund.
The 2007 winner of the Star of Integrity Award is Alan Azralon, Senior Vice President of Technology Integration for Corporate Engineering and Technology at Cablevision, who was recognized for his professional achievements in deploying next-generation On Demand cable networks.
A 20-year veteran of Cablevision, Alan Azralon is recognized for his technology leadership in implementing digital video and VoIP for advanced network services, and in driving open system standards to speed deployment of and improve support for these complex subscriber applications. As Cablevision was an early adaptor of digital technology, Mr. Azralon’s work in introducing new technologies and standards among historically proprietary network components has had a wide-ranging impact on the cable industry at large.
Any active SCTE member may nominate a peer for the Star of Integrity Award. To process a nomination, a written recommendation must be submitted along with the SCTE nomination form to the SCTE. The recommendation should detail the qualities and accomplishments which make the nominee a distinguished candidate.
